About this event:
June 26 – June 30
7th Annual Rolland Fiddle Camp
Classes held at Custer County School, 709 Main St, Westcliffe, Colorado 81252
Now in it’s 7th year, is a 5-day camp (June 26 – June 30, 2017) dedicated to the study of traditional music on fiddle, clawhammer banjo, mandolin, guitar, cello, bass & singing with great teachers and performers. The goal is to help each participant make a significant improvement in their playing skills and music knowledge. The all-ages camp accepts students at all skill levels ranging from beginning-from-scratch to advanced. In addition to close daily study with one or two core instructors for morning and afternoon group lessons the camp also offers additional workshops based on the interests of participants, a Folk Orchestra where students at all levels can play together, and a mentored small band experience. Fun evening activities including jamming, dancing and concerts. Full schedule with daily events to be posted at a later time. Friday June 30th we will have our free public wrap-up camp concert and community/camp jam session (location TBA).
