When the tent is raised with the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as a backdrop, you know its music festival time in the Wet Mountain Valley. The High Mountain Hay Fever Festival brings the best of blue grass to over 4,000 people from around the country each July. In August Wet Mountain Western Jubilee touches the valley’s roots where the West still lives with authentic cowboy music. KMWV, our local radio station, hosts the annual High Peaks Music Festival, an acoustic and folk music festival performed in the outdoor amphitheater in September. Home to many music artists, including the valley’s own Sons and Brothers, you can find music most anytime during the summer and fall. From the outdoor amphitheater to the historic Jones Theater to the local pub, come enjoy relaxed excellence in music.
