Whether you enjoy Muzzle Loading  Rifle Shooting, or Archery, the Wet Mountain Valley boasts plenty of wildlife.  It is not uncommon to see deer, elk, antelope, bear, mountain lions and turkey.  The avid hunter can be taken out by local professional guides, or try the game hunting on their own.  You can also have your game processed and even mounted in the Silver Cliff and Westcliffe ‘Cliffs Commercial District.  Visit the Colorado Division of Wildlife website at http://wildlife.state.co.us or stop in to the local Division of Wildlife office located at 1 Hermit Lane to learn more about the rules and regulations for hunting in the area.

  1. Does anyone know if Lake Deweese has enough ice to go ice fishing yet I live in Colorado Springs and was wanting to make a trip down there but I am trying to find out about the ice thickness. If someone could e-mail me and let me know I would greatly appreciate it Thanks.
