Custer County’s large-scale ranching events draw crowds from all over Colorado. But if you’re looking for something more intimate, we also offer smaller experiences that provide a unique taste of ranching life.

The Arkansas Valley Flywheelers hosts a tractor pull each June at Silver Cliff’s community park. Though members restore everything from animal-powered rigs to military equipment, you’ll see the power and might of the antique machine on display at this event.

Check out our events calendar for information on this year’s Antique Tractor Pull.

Be more cowboy than you ever thought possible at Music Meadows Ranch, where guests are encouraged to ride the open range.

Unlike most commercial horseback outfitters, Music Meadows Ranch does not encourage guests to ride “nose-to-tail.” Rather, the ranch teaches the basics of horsemanship before sending guests out for a true, Old West adventure.

Ride alongside real cowhands, into the sunset or with the party selected to deliver cattle to their buyer each September. It’s all possible at Music Meadows Ranch.
