In the Wet Mountain Valley, you’ll find an arts-centered destination filled with creative and adventurous people enjoying vibrant lives.

The nonprofit Sangres Art Guild forms a hub for our valley’s creative opportunities, fostering chances for everyone to engage in visual art. From its 3rd Street Gallery to Art in Public Places, the Guild attracts both artists and art patrons to classes, regular shows and openings, and other special events spread throughout the year.

In June, the Art Guild’s Alla Prima Westcliffe event allows plein air artists to capture the beauty of summer in the Wet Mountain Valley.

September ushers in a long list of exciting, art-filled events. Over Labor Day weekend, the annual Quilt Show and Boutique and Fiber Art Exhibition ties the threads of one of America’s most classic crafts to all fiber art, with an exhibition, sale and special events. Along Main Street, children participate in a wide range of art forms at Arts Hullabaloo, a delightful, family-focused event.

Join artists and art enthusiasts from across Colorado and the country as they enjoy the string of galleries in downtown Westcliffe, workshops local artists offer to all ages and special arts events throughout the year in our scenic mountain environment.
